MEET THE TEAM – MARK SMALL
Mark Small is Director and Solicitor-Advocate (Civil Proceedings) at SEN4You, bringing extensive experience in education law, public law, litigation and employment law. He qualified as a Solicitor in September 2005 and as a Solicitor-Advocate in August 2011. Mark is also an accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator (since March 2018) and has undertaken over 500 SEN mediations. He has worked both in private practice and the public sector, including managing education law teams within local authorities. During his career, he has been nominated for Local Government Young Solicitor of the Year on two occasions. Mark holds the Law Society’s Diploma in Local Government Law and passed the Institute of Leadership and Management’s Level 5 Diploma in Management with Distinction. His work at SEN4You covers a broad range of cases, including judicial review applications, SEN Tribunal Appeals (both First and Upper Tiers), exclusions, admissions disputes, disability discrimination, governance issues for schools and academy expansions, litigation in county and employment tribunals, and training for local authorities & organisations. Outside work, Mark is passionate about military history (especially WWII aviation art), collects works by Robert Taylor, follows Bristol City, and has recently taken up miniature war-gaming.
